Campari

Campari is an Italian alcoholic liqueur that is bright red in color and has a bitter, fruity taste. Campari was first created in 1860 by Gaspare Campari, and it has since become one of the most popular and recognizable Italian liqueurs in the world.  Based outside of Milan, this liqueur is known for its distinctive crimson red color.

Campari is a proprietary blend of herbs and fruits, including bitter orange, rhubarb, and cinchona, which are steeped in alcohol and water. Campari may be enjoyed as an aperitif, either on its own or mixed with soda water or orange juice, and it is a key ingredient in many classic cocktails.  Because of the citrus involved in its creation, cocktails using Campari really shine when garnised with orange peel or spritzed with orange oil.
