Amaro Nonino Quintessentia
Amaro Nonino is an Italian herbal liqueur that is known for its bittersweet and complex flavor profile. Originating in 1992, it is made by the Nonino family, who have been producing spirits in the Friuli region of Italy since 1897. The liqueur is made from a blend of herbs, roots, and spices that are macerated in grappa and then distilled. The resulting liquid is then aged in oak barrels for at least six months to allow the flavors to meld and develop.
Amaro Nonino is often enjoyed as a digestif, served neat or on the rocks, and it can also be used as a flavorful ingredient in cocktails. It has a deep amber color and a rich aroma, with notes of herbs, citrus, and caramel. Amaro Nonino is considered one of the finest amari (plural for amaro) produced in Italy, and it has won numerous awards for its exceptional quality and flavor.
