Building the proper cocktail is the perfect combination of form and function–of knowing both the how and the why of the ingredients going into the final creation.  Just as every craftsman needs his tools and toolbelt, the bar hero must have the proper tools at the ready in order to produce culinary drinks of wonder.

This section introduces some basic bar tools that are particularly both in the bar and at home.  As any master craftsman, you will need to know your bar tools well in order to use them to their fullest potential.  This can only come with study and practice…and it might end up with drinks going down the drain.  No worries!  We all start somewhere, and mistakes make for great teachers…  Pick up your favorite tool, and let’s get to work!
